About Me
Professional genealogist, credentialed researcher, and lifelong student of family history — based steps from the FamilySearch Library in Salt Lake City.
Hello — I'm glad you're here.
I became a genealogist the way most people do: I had questions about my own family that I couldn't stop thinking about. A great-grandmother whose origins no one could explain. A branch of the family tree that simply disappeared after a certain generation. The more I looked, the more I found — and the more I realized how much skill and patience this work actually requires.
What started as personal curiosity became a profession. Over the years I've developed deep expertise in LDS and FamilySearch research, archival record retrieval, and the careful, source-cited methodology that separates reliable genealogy from guesswork. I work with clients who want real answers — documented, honest, and grounded in the historical record.
I'm based in Salt Lake City, steps from the FamilySearch Library — the largest genealogical library in the world. That proximity isn't incidental. It shapes what I can do for clients whose families left records that haven't been digitized, or whose research requires hands-on access to collections that exist nowhere else.

My Approach
I believe genealogy research should be honest before it is impressive. That means citing every source, documenting every search — including the ones that found nothing — and being clear about what the evidence shows and what it doesn't.
It also means treating each client's family history with the care it deserves. These are real people, real stories, and often deeply personal questions. I take that seriously.
Before I begin any project, I offer a free consultation to understand your research goals, assess what's already known, and give you an honest picture of what's likely findable. If I don't think I can help, I'll tell you — and point you toward someone who can.
